Regenerative Medicine Program

Various companies are developing novel therapies to fight bone marrow infiltrative processes (e.g. Leukemia) and correct congenital immunodeficiency disorders. Because peripheral blood is a good source of stem cells, progenitor cells and T-cells – with low risk of tumor contamination – it is hoped that the bone marrow function of cancer patients can be replenished with previously MMS-harvested stem cells. In this autologous transplantation model, cancer patients could receive higher doses of chemotherapy than their bone marrow would normally tolerate.
Cynvenio’s bioengineers and molecular biologists are using the company’s rare cell detection technology to isolate viable Hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) from whole blood for incubation, amplification and patient re-injection.
